Long an important agricultural center and travel stop on the New York to Florida route, the Emporia-Greensville region has turned its strategic location at the Interstate 95/U.S. Route 58 and Route 301 crossroads into a rapidly emerging commerce and industry center.

Positioned along the Virginia - North Carolina border, the region is centered between three of Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live in the Southern U.S. By car, Richmond is 60 minutes to the north, Hampton Roads is 90 minutes to the east, and Raleigh is 90 minutes to the southwest. This pro-business region is served by seven interchanges offering development opportunities off I-95.

Through the efforts of the Emporia-Greensville Industrial Development Corporation, our business-friendly community focuses public and private resources to aggressively recruit new business and assist existing businesses with expansion plans. The region’s skilled and reliable labor force, plus the advantages of an excellent highway system that places the community within a 60-mile drive of more than 1.9 million people and an expanded workforce of more than 980,000 are benefits enjoyed by companies located here.

The Emporia-Greensville community is home to NASCAR drivers Elliott Sadler and Hermie Sadler. The Sadler Fan Club (www.Sadlerfanclub.com) is located in Emporia and when they aren’t racing these well-known brothers like to golf, hunt and hang out in Emporia and Greensville County with family and friends.

Emporia-Greensville offers prime real estate, low costs, a large labor pool, and a central location along the eastern seaboard between Richmond, Norfolk, and Raleigh, North Carolina.
